Any part you use on a car becomes a car part.
560SL and a Spirit R/T.
Went to the hardware store and got some ducting and hose clamps to patch the exhaust up. It’s a bit louder than before, but still sounds nice without being too obnoxious. Axle replacement went without much if a hitch- I need to get an alignment now, and I’ll ask the shop to get the inner bolts to torque. I got them GNT but due to lack of space, I couldn’t get a torque wrench in to get it “right” right.

Fact: Hom e Depot could source better Golf parts than Puebla.
I just got back with $500 in landscaping (yes, reay) . Pretty sure I can build a Morgan.

To be fair, Morgans are dirt simple.
And yeah, I don't trust any 20 year old OEM part for this car.

R107s have never been desirable for me but that particular example looks nice.

use a rattle gun to do the bolts up tight.

I thought about using a cordless drill, but the space is too small even for that. I only had enough space to get about two clicks with my smalled ratchet. On one side, you hit subframe and the other hits the oil pan. I’m going to do the other axle this afternoon (it’s borked too, as I discovered) then take it to a shop for an alignment and ask them to give it a go. I might just ask for one ugga dugga on each bolt.
